Q2: What does a wedding videographer actually deliver?

You'll receive a cinematic highlight film (typically 6 to 10 minutes) capturing the emotional arc of your day, plus additional edits like your vows and speeches depending on your collection. We edit for story and feeling, not just a chronological montage.

Q3: What does your wedding videography style actually look like?

We blend candid, handheld digital footage with the warm, grainy nostalgia of real Super 8 film. Digital catches the moments you didn't know were being filmed, the side conversations, the laugh before the vows, the small in-between. Super 8 gives your day a timeless, cinematic quality, the kind of footage that feels like a memory the moment we shoot it. Most of our favourite films combine both, sometimes woven together with real audio pulled straight from your ceremony or a quiet interview with the people who love you most.

Q4: Do you shoot every wedding on both digital and Super 8, or can we choose?

You choose. Some couples want full-day digital coverage only, some want an entire day shot on Super 8, and many want the blend, digital as the backbone with Super 8 woven in for key moments like your ceremony or getting ready. We'll talk through what feels right for your day on your discovery call.

Q5: Do I need both a photographer and a videographer?

Not everyone does, but most couples who skip video say it's their biggest regret a year later. Photos show you how the day looked. Film lets you hear it, the vows, the laughter, the exact song during your first dance. If budget allows, the combination gives you the fullest possible record of your day.

Q6: Will a videographer be intrusive during our ceremony?

No. Our approach to filming is the same as our approach to photography, documentary and unobtrusive. We use quiet equipment, work discreetly, and stay out of your guests' sightlines wherever possible. Most couples tell us they forgot our videographer was even there.

Q7: What is Super 8 wedding film, and how is it different from digital?

Super 8 is actual analogue film, not a digital effect or filter. It's the same nostalgic, warm film format your parents and grandparents used, and it can only be shot in short bursts since each roll captures about 3 minutes of footage before it needs to be changed. That's part of what makes it feel so intentional. Digital gives us unlimited coverage across the whole day, while Super 8 captures a handful of specific, cinematic moments that couples treasure for the way they look and feel, not just what they show.

Q8: Do you record real audio, like vows or speeches?

Yes. Whenever possible we capture real audio directly from your ceremony and reception, your actual vows, your actual speeches, not a voiceover added later. For some films we also record a short, quiet interview with the couple or their families, which we can weave into the final edit for something that feels closer to a short documentary than a traditional highlight reel.

Q9: How long until we receive our wedding film?

Most couples receive their highlight film within 10 to 12 weeks of their wedding date. We'll keep you updated throughout the editing process so you're never left wondering.

Q10: When should we book our wedding videographer?

Most couples book their photography and videography team 12 to 18 months before their wedding date. Peak season dates (May through October) often book out 18 to 24 months in advance, especially for popular Saturdays. If your date is closer than that, still reach out, we sometimes have openings.
