Frequently Asked Questions

We know you probably have a million tabs open right now, so we tried to answer the ones that actually matter. If you don't see what you're looking for, just reach out. We love a good conversation. 🫶🏼

Q1: Who will actually be there on our wedding day?

You get to choose. Whether that's Anika leading your photography, Carson leading your video, or one of our amazing team members, Nurin, Crystal, Sarah, Aeriana, or George. The decision is yours. Everyone on our team shoots in the Amare style and is fully briefed on your day before they arrive. You'll know exactly who's coming. No surprises, no strangers.

Q2: What if we're camera shy?

Honestly? Our camera shy couples are some of our favourite to work with, because they always end up with the most natural, beautiful photos. We don't pose you into something that feels foreign. We create the conditions for real moments to happen, and then we catch them. Most of our couples tell us they forgot we were even there. That's exactly what we're going for.

Q3: Where are you based and do you travel for weddings?

We're based in Ontario and shoot weddings across all of Southern Ontario, the GTA, Hamilton, Niagara, Burlington, Oakville, Muskoka, and everywhere in between. We also travel anywhere in Canada and worldwide for destination weddings, with coverage starting at $6,500 including all travel costs. No hidden fees, no surprise invoices after the fact.

Q4: How and when do we get our wedding photos?

Your photos are delivered through a beautiful private online gallery via PicTime, easy to download, share, and order prints directly from. You'll get sneak peeks within one week because we know the wait is real. Your full gallery of 600+ individually edited images is delivered within eight weeks.

Q5: How and when do we get our wedding video?

Your films are delivered via Google Drive within ten weeks. This includes your documentary highlight film, your keepsake vows and speeches edit, and the social edit, all ready to watch, share, and cry over on repeat. 🥰

Q6: Can we customize our wedding package or add extras?

Yes, absolutely. You can customize your collection at any time, add an engagement session, Super 8 film, 35mm photography, a second shooter, or upgrade your coverage. Engagement sessions are included free with our photography and Storytellers Collections. If you have something specific in mind that isn't listed, just ask. We're always happy to build something that fits your day perfectly.

Q7: How do we book Amare Studios for our wedding?

Once you're ready, we'll send over a custom proposal. When everything looks good, you sign the contract and make your retainer payment of $2,000 to secure your date. Your final balance is due two weeks before your wedding. We accept credit cards for easy payments, and once it's done, you can actually exhale. You're booked. 🫶🏼

Q8: What if our wedding date isn't available?

Reach out anyway. Dates occasionally open up, and we'd love to know about your wedding regardless. We also have an incredible team, so there may be more availability than you'd expect.

Group of five people standing outdoors at a wedding, smiling and posing for a photo. The bride is showing her wedding rings, wearing a white wedding dress with lace sleeves. The groom is on her left, wearing a brown suit. An older woman in a purple lace dress is standing next to her, and an older man in a beige suit is on her right. Green trees and a lawn are in the background.

I grew up flipping through my family's film photos, the grainy, imperfect ones that somehow made me feel so nostalgic. I never forgot what it felt like to relive those moments. That feeling is why Amare exists. And it's the standard Carson and I hold every single wedding to.

We're not here to show up, get the shots, and leave. We're here because we genuinely understand what it means to be trusted with something irreplaceable, the look on your dad's face when he sees you for the first time, the way your person's voice sounds when they say your vows, the quiet moment after the ceremony when it's just the two of you and it finally hits.

Our couples tell us they forgot we were even there. That when they watched their film back for the first time, they were brought right back. That it felt like experiencing the day all over again.

That's what we're here to give you. Not just photos. Not just a film. The feeling of your wedding day, preserved exactly as it was, for every anniversary, every moment you need to remember why it all matters.

The Amare Experience

What Makes us Different?

Most couples tell us the same thing after their wedding: they forgot we were even there.

That's not an accident. It's the whole philosophy.

We show up knowing your day, your people, and the moments that matter most to you, and then we move through it all so intentionally that you never feel pulled away from what's actually happening.

The result is photos and film that feel completely alive. Not because we manufactured them, but because we witnessed them.

That's the Amare difference. And it shows up in everything we do; from the planning conversations months before your day, to the calm presence we bring when things don't go exactly to plan, to the gallery you open eight weeks later and can't stop looking at.
