Niagara Wedding Photographer
NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE · NIAGARA FALLS · ST. CATHARINES
Documentary wedding photography and film for couples getting married among the vineyards, waterfalls, and century-old estates of Niagara. We're a husband and wife team based right here in Welland who show up, blend in, and hand you back a wedding gallery that feels like your actual day, not a staged version of it.
You're in the right place if...
→ You're getting married in Niagara and you want a team who moves through your day without missing a beat
→ You'd rather your photos capture the way golden hour hits the vines than a forced "big smile" moment
→ Half your guest list is flying in for the weekend, and you want to be fully in it with them, not stuck posing
→ You want a gallery that feels like your actual Niagara wedding, not a stock-photo version of one
Meet Your Niagara Wedding Photographers
We're Anika and Carson, the husband-and-wife team behind Amare Studios. We actually live right in Welland, so Niagara isn't just a place we travel to for weddings; it's home. Vineyard ceremonies, wine country receptions, golden hour on the Escarpment, we know this region because we're in it.
Amare means "to love" in Latin. We didn't pick that name to be clever. We picked it because this whole thing, the studio, the work, the life we've built together, started with exactly that.
We met working at Starbucks in 2018 and never looked back. We fell in love, built this business together, and got married surrounded by everyone we love most. Planning our own wedding is where we really understood what it means to want every single moment preserved forever, and that's what we bring to every Niagara wedding we shoot. Not just a camera. A genuine understanding of what's at stake.
Today we shoot alongside Nurin and Crystal, who we chose not because they filled a role, but because we felt that instant connection that tells you someone truly cares about this work the way we do.
We're so grateful to do this together. And we genuinely cannot wait to capture your Niagara love story too. 🫶🏼
Documentary Wedding Photography in Niagara
Niagara isn't one wedding backdrop, it's a dozen different ones. A vineyard wedding at Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery in St. Davids has a completely different light and feel than a heritage-orchard wedding at Cherry Avenue Farm in Vineland, or an intimate ceremony at The Hare Winery. We live right here in Welland, so we're not guessing at how each part of this region shoots, some of our favourite weddings we've ever photographed have been right in our own backyard.
Whether you're saying "I do" at a Niagara-on-the-Lake estate like Queen's Landing, an intimate celebration at Stonewall Estate, a Beamsville winery like Vieni Estates, or a Niagara Falls hotel ballroom, we shoot it the same documentary way: real moments first, styled portraits second.
We're based right in Welland and cover the full Niagara region: Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Grimsby, Vineland, Beamsville, St. Davids, and Fort Erie, along with the rest of Southern Ontario.

Niagara Wedding Photography FAQs
Q1: How much does a Niagara wedding photographer cost? Wedding photography in the Niagara region typically runs $3,800 to $8,500 depending on coverage and season. Our Photography Collection starts at $4,200 for full-day documentary coverage anywhere in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, or the surrounding wine region. See full pricing on our pricing page.
Q2: Do you actually know the Niagara wedding venues, or do you just travel there for weddings? We live right in Welland, so Niagara isn't a market we travel into, it's home. We shoot weddings across Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, and the wine region every season, at vineyards, heritage estates, orchards, and Escarpment venues. We've put together a full guide to the best Niagara wedding venues based on what we've actually seen work for real weddings, not just what looks good in a brochure.
Q3: What are your favourite Niagara wedding venues to shoot at? We've shot so many gorgeous spots across the region, but a few of our favourites to actually work at are The Hare Winery, Cherry Avenue Farm, Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery, and Stonewall Estate. If you're still deciding, Queen's Landing, Vieni Estates, and Ball's Falls are also excellent picks, we break down all of them (and more) in our Niagara wedding venue guide.
Q4: Can you shoot both photo and video at our Niagara wedding? Yes. We're one of the only studios covering photography, videography, Super 8 film, and 35mm film in-house for Niagara weddings, so you're not coordinating two separate vendor teams on your wedding day. See our photo, video, and film collections.
Q5: What's the best time of year for a Niagara vineyard wedding? Late June through early October gives you the vines in full colour and the warmest golden hour light, September especially, when the harvest colours start coming in. May and early June are quieter, greener, and easier to book if you're flexible on timing.
Q6: How far in advance should we book a Niagara wedding photographer? Most couples book 12 to 18 months out. Popular Niagara-on-the-Lake and wine country venues book their preferred vendor dates early, especially Saturdays from June through September, so if you have a date, it's worth reaching out even if your planning is otherwise just getting started.
Q7: Do you travel to Niagara from Toronto or the GTA? We're already based right in Niagara, in Welland, so there's no travel fee or logistics gap for local weddings. Travel throughout the rest of Southern Ontario is included in every collection too.
Still have questions? Send us a message or schedule a call, it's just a vibe check, we promise. 🫶🏼
