My Top 10 Favourite Wedding Venues in Ontario

I've photographed weddings at more venues across Ontario than I can count at this point, and every once in a while a couple asks me the same question: if it were your wedding, where would you actually want to get married?
These are my honest answers. Not the most searched venues, not the ones with the biggest marketing budgets, the ones that genuinely stuck with me after I left. Some I've shot at more than once and still feel something every time I walk in. A few are places I'd choose for my own wedding if I were planning it all over again.

1. Graydon Hall Manor
Toronto, Ontario
There's a reason this one's first. Graydon Hall is everything luxury and timeless in one place, and I never photograph it the same way twice. The stone manor, the formal gardens, the staircases, it all has this quiet grandeur that makes even my most low-key couples feel like they stepped into something cinematic.

2. Cranberry Creek Gardens
Delhi, Ontario
I have a real soft spot for this one. Seven acres of English-inspired gardens, a chapel from the 1800s, and a tree-lined ceremony walk that catches the late afternoon light in a way I genuinely look forward to every time I'm booked here. 3. Harding Waterfront Estate
Missisauga, Ontario
This one's personal. I photographed Rachel and Kristian's wedding here and it's stuck with me ever since, the lake, the gardens, the way the light comes off the water during golden hour portraits. Harding Waterfront Estate has quietly become one of my favourite lakefront venues in Ontario, and I genuinely think it's underrated compared to some of the bigger-name waterfront spots. 4. The Old Mill Toronto
Toronto, Ontario
Cobblestone pathways, lush gardens, vintage-style banquet rooms, The Old Mill has that old-world romance that's hard to manufacture anywhere else in the city. It's a favourite for couples who want a classic, elegant feel without leaving Toronto. The service here is genuinely exceptional too, which makes the whole day easier for everyone, including me
5. Ancaster Mill
Ancaster, Ontario
Set against Westfield Heritage Village with the sound of the waterfall running through your whole ceremony, Ancaster Mill is one of those venues where the setting does half the emotional work for you. The combination of the restored gristmill architecture and the creek views gives every gallery from here a sense of place that's hard to replicate. 6. Elora Mill
Elora, Ontario
I'll be honest, Elora Mill is a bit of a splurge for most couples, but it earns every bit of it. Perched on the Grand River with panoramic views of the Elora Gorge, this is one of the most genuinely luxurious wedding settings in Ontario. If you want refined, elegant, and a little bit unforgettable, this is where I'd point you.
7. Cherry Avenue Farms
Vineland, Ontario
This heritage orchard in the Niagara region has been family-run since 1799, and it shows in the best way. Blossoming cherry trees, a rustic barn, and that unmistakable orchard-chic feel that nature-loving couples gravitate toward. 8. Elsie Perrin Williams Estate
London, Ontario
A genuine hidden gem. Most couples outside the London area don't even know this venue exists, which honestly makes me love it more. Sweeping lawns, mature gardens, and interiors with vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace that make the indoor reception feel just as special as the outdoor ceremony. 9. Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG)
Rock Garden
Hendrie Park
Burlington and Hamilton, Ontario
I keep coming back to RBG because there's genuinely nowhere else like it. Four completely different garden areas, the Rock Garden, Hendrie Park, the iris and peony fields, and the Mediterranean greenhouse, all on one property. It's a botanical photographer's dream and I never run out of new spots to shoot here even after multiple weddings. More detail in my outdoor venues guide.
10. The Distillery District
Toronto, Ontario
For couples who want something urban, historic, and a little bit cinematic, the Distillery District never misses. Cobblestone streets, 19th-century industrial architecture, and a warm ambiance that photographs beautifully in every season. I shot an engagement session here at Cluny Bistro recently and the light through those old industrial windows was unreal. If you want city energy with real character, this is where I'd send you.
Final Thoughts:
I've had the genuine pleasure of photographing weddings at every venue on this list, and none of them have ever disappointed me. Whether it's the grandeur of a historic estate, the quiet romance of a garden, or the cinematic feel of an urban courtyard, each one brings something different to the table, and I love that Ontario has this much range packed into one province.
