We can’t wait to share photo + video from Chelsea and Michael's unforgettable Italy destination wedding! As photographers and videographers based in Ontario, we were beyond thrilled to capture the magic of their special day in the picturesque Italian village of Lozzola. It was such an epic adventure!
Chelsea and Michael had a tough decision to make – a grand wedding in Ontario or a unique overseas experience. They chose the latter, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! Surrounded by their closest family and friends who traveled from afar, they embarked on an adventure to Michael's hometown in northern Italy. His late grandmother lived in this village her whole life. It was the perfect sentimental location to celebrate their love
A crazy incident unfolded when Chelsea's maid of honor lost her passport at the airport, with Chelsea's dress in her possession! Fortunately, someone found the passport, and after a whirlwind of emotions, she made it just in time. The morning of the wedding was relaxed and intimate, just like the Italian way of life.
The ceremony took place in a charming old chapel with gorgeous tones of orange and browns (lowkey wish they had more churches like this in Ontario). The small village atmosphere made it all the more special, with neighbors joining in to celebrate with the wedding guests – a touching display of community.
After becoming husband and wife, Chelsea and Michael exited the church with a joyful rice toss, adding a traditional touch to the day. We then whisked them away to a breathtaking hillside where they exchanged their vows in private, surrounded by the mesmerizing landscape. It was a moment of pure connection and tenderness between the two.
The celebration continued with delicious food and wine at a local restaurant nestled in the hillside. Let us tell you, it was THE BEST food we had during our time in Italy! Fresh pastas, salads, meats, cheese, and plenty of wine created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Laughter echoed through the intimate reception, and their son Leo even joined them for a heartwarming first dance. The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, and Chelsea and Michael's words left everyone touched. As photographers and videographers, we were there to capture every tear, smile, and moment of joy.
